It has had the motor field rewound and a new solid-state control installed. It is necessary to start the machine with the field rheostat set low. This permits a speed range of 0 to 2000 RPM. After it is started you may increase the rheostat setting to increase the speed to 4000 RPM. Then, you will need to dial it back down in order to restart the machine.
